There are so many ways we express love towards the people we care about the most.
Our parents clean up after us and quietly bear the hurt when our teenage hormones cause us to yell out "I hate you, you've ruined my life!"
Boyfriends/girlfriends make you feel like you are on top of the world. They give you that giddy feeling and the tingles.
About a month ago, the lovely Paige contacted me from San Francisco. She was heading to Sydney for Valentines day and wanted to give her boyfriend Mark something really special... So we worked together to create cake design that tells a story of their trip from San Francisco to Sydney. They were such a lovely couple and I'm so glad it was a real surprise for Mark.
Now, back to the topic of love... your best friends may not always agree with what you think but will no doubt be there to support you.
Siblings may steal your clothes, play mean pranks or tattle on you, but underneath all that, they do care about you.
And then there is the love between husband and wife. A love that is a symbol of their future together and a promise that "I will love you even if you loose all your hair and smell like wet dog."
I'm always honored to be asked to make wedding cakes. Getting to take part in a couple's special day by contributing something I've created really makes me feel special.

This was Sue's wedding cake. The reception was at The Tea Room and the place was cosy and absolutely beautiful.
The flower displays were gorgeous. I've delivered a few wedding cakes to some really great venues but the flowers along the tables and centre pieces of Sue's reception really blew me away when I walked in.

I also love it when couples incorporate a little bit of themselves on their wedding cake.
The Eiffel tower on top of this cake is to represent where they got engaged. He proposed on top of the Eiffel Tower - how sweet! This has also got to be my tallest cake to date. On the table, it actually towered above me!
Over 40 sugar flowers were created for this cake!
